My t-shirt design

This is my t-shirt design which represents me. On the front I have symbols of Aotearoa NZ - a place I love. These are a white cloud within which are mountains, sky and sea. I am very grateful to my parents for choosing to live here before I was born. On the back of my shirt is my cute, playful dog called Pipi. What I love about her is that every morning when she wakes up and every time I come home, Pipi greets me like a long-lost friend. She is so excited to see me it just makes me so happy to have her in my family.

This time I used a Google drawing and call outs to show how the PCS school values also apply to being Cybersmart, which is all about making good choices and behaving in the right way when I am online.

I created this 'freezeframe' of PCS school values that relate to being cybersmart. I used a new app which can be found at canvas.apps.chrome and put these images onto a Google drawing. Today in cybersmart, I learnt how to create a bar chart from data in a spreadsheet. First, we collected information about which fruit each student likes the most. Then, we entered the data into a spreadsheet and made a chart. Finally, I wrote the titles and changed the colours.

Ask an adult when things go wrong

Today in cybersmart, I learnt that if things go wrong online I should ask a trusted adult to sort it out for me. In my cartoon, I told my teacher. I hope you can follow my advice and be cybersmart like me.

Quality Blog Posts - Animation

For this work I created an animated slide presentation to teach people what a quality blog post would have. The things are a title, labels, an explanation of my learning and an invitation for readers to comment. I really enjoyed making this because I like creating animations. I think the writing is perfect with no grammar or spelling mistakes.

Taking care of my chromebook using StoryboardThat

This is a neat tool to write a three scene storyboard. I created it without making an account so it was easy to get started. Then, when I had finished it I took a screenshot and uploaded it onto my blog. I needed to make the image extra large. Looking at it now, I think next time I would have less text and a bigger font so that it can be more easily read. The theme of this storyboard is taking care of my chromebook.

Today in Cybersmart I learnt that tone is important when writing something online. These slides explain examples of good tone and poor tone.
