Happy Holidays!
A cool interactive map showing the weeks of summer holidays that primary students get.
Roll on summer holidays
This map shows the number of weeks summer holidays that primary school students get across the globe.
This interactive world map was created by putting the data into a spreadsheet and then inserting a chart. To access the data for the spreadsheet I had to read a few articles that explained the length of summer school holidays throughout the world.

Let's get fruity!
Today in cybersmart, I learnt how to create a bar chart from data in a spreadsheet. First, we collected information about which fruit each student likes the most. Then, we entered the data into a spreadsheet and made a chart. Finally, I wrote the titles and changed the colours.

Ask an adult when things go wrong
Today in cybersmart, I learnt that if things go wrong online I should ask a trusted adult to sort it out for me. In my cartoon, I told my teacher. I hope you can follow my advice and be cybersmart like me.

Turning Negative into Positive
This activity was about turning negative sentences into positive ones. This is because we should be kind when we comment online. What I enjoyed about this was making the animations and choosing the pictures. Please make a comment below.

Quality Blog Posts - Animation
For this work I created an animated slide presentation to teach people what a quality blog post would have. The things are a title, labels, an explanation of my learning and an invitation for readers to comment. I really enjoyed making this because I like creating animations. I think the writing is perfect with no grammar or spelling mistakes.

Taking care of my chromebook using StoryboardThat
This is a neat tool to write a three scene storyboard. I created it without making an account so it was easy to get started. Then, when I had finished it I took a screenshot and uploaded it onto my blog. I needed to make the image extra large. Looking at it now, I think next time I would have less text and a bigger font so that it can be more easily read. The theme of this storyboard is taking care of my chromebook.

Waitangi Acrostic Poem
This activity was about words about Waitangi Day.
I created a slide presentation with these words.
What I liked most was choosing my words.
What I found most difficult was getting the animations right.

Embedding a sheet onto a blog
Open the Sheet and go to 'edit', scroll down to 'publish to web' just like docs and slides. Get the embed code (can embed the entire document or just the sheet that is open) which you then put in to the HTML section of your blog, followed by 'compose'.
Embedding a form into a bog
Click on the 'send' button and then click on the < > button, copy the embed code. Next go to your blog and start a new post, click on the HTML button, paste the code in and then click 'compose'. You may need to alter the width of the Form in the HTML section so that it isn't too wide for your blog.

My test rap
For this activity I wanted to use slide animations, rap music and my own words to record and digitise using screencastify. It was interesting to learn how to best put the slides together and then the order of animations so that the pictures and words come onto the screen when I wanted them. I first tried the animation 'after previous' but they happened too quickly for my rapping, so then I tried 'on click' which worked better because I was in control of when I brought the next object onto the slide. However, you might be able to hear the clicking in the background. Next I needed to test the sound of the music and make sure it was loud enough to hear but not too loud that you couldn't hear me.
